by Cary and Patty ~ My Simply Sage

Recipe Makes 2 pies. Easy with the help of pre-made pie shells.
Taco on the left, breakfast sausage on the right. Same basic recipe, two completely different Quiche’s with the same recipe.

Ingredients
1 package of 2 Marie Callender’s frozen deep dish 9” pie crusts
1 pound breakfast meat. Sausage (any variety), Ham or Bacon.
½ pound for each pie. It can be the same or different.
2 cups of shredded cheese. Any variety you like.
7 large eggs
2 ½ cups half and half
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
½ teaspoon ground white pepper Note: you can add any chopped vegetables of your choice, onions, mushrooms, peppers etc.

Instructions
Brown meat, drain and divide in half or use ½ pound of two different meats. Set aside.
While browning meat, precook the thawed pie shells for 15 minutes.
Blend (or mix by hand) the eggs, half and half and seasonings.
If using vegetables, sauté them to desired doneness.

Time to assemble pies.
Fill each pie crust with meat first, followed by the cooked vegetables (optional), add cheese, one cup for each pie. It can be same or different for each pie.
Pour half of the blended egg mixture into each pie. Leave a little room at the top or it will spill over.
Put assembled pies on a foil covered sheet pan, place in center of oven and bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
Ready when toothpick comes out clean.

Be creative:
